In fall of 2025, Gabriel Slesinger begins as principal trumpet of the Turku Philharmonic— Finland’s oldest orchestra, and one of the oldest in the world.
Prior to filling this role, Gabriel performed for six seasons as associate principal of the Charlotte Symphony, and as a frequent guest with a variety of leading US orchestras, including the Atlanta Symphony, the Houston Symphony, and the National Symphony.
In addition to leading a private studio for students of all ages, Gabriel has served on the faculty of Queens University of Charlotte and led masterclasses at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and the University of Utah.
Gabriel’s earliest teachers were Josh Keller, David Levin, and Pat Whitehead. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from Rice University, where he was a student of Barbara Butler and Charles Geyer.
